Manolete Myth Buster: You don't need counsel's opinion before referring a claim

Misconception: Manolete cannot consider a finance claim unless counsel has already advised.

Counsel’s opinion can be helpful, but it is not a requirement. Manolete is prepared to rely on its own in-house assessment of the merits.

A referral usually needs a short summary of the claim, the main documents and key correspondence. Once Manolete has what it needs, it aims to make an investment decision in about one week. That is an aim, not a guarantee. Some cases need further evidence or analysis.

The absence of an existing opinion should not stop an IP or solicitor asking whether a claim is suitable. A proportionate early assessment may avoid unnecessary cost and delay.

If you believe a claim may be suitable, send us a summary and the key supporting documents to start the conversation.
