R3 President Frances Coulson, herself a litigator and partner of law firm Moon Beever, has spoken out against the Government's proposed abolition of CFAs and ATEs recovery. Manolete Partners understand that R3 are working hard on lobbying the Government to exempt insolvency litigation from the Jackson proposals. Speaking on the R3 website, Coulson is quoted saying:
|
“Under these proposals it will be harder for insolvency practitioners to recoup money from dodgy directors, so creditors such as the business community and HMRC could be left with nothing” |
Even if R3 fails in its attempts to exempt insolvency litigation from the enactment of the Jackson proposals, Manolete offers IPs a full funding package to pursue "dodgy directors". Typically we pay all the legal bills, all the disbursements and any adverse claim insurance in return for a fair share in the eventual proceeds. In other types of actions Manolete is able to purchase the claim outright from the insolvent company
